treatment service. Our organisations are staffed by highly
experienced and reputable therapists and professionals who have
devoted our lives to helping people like you improve the quality
of their lives. We specialize in our respective fields and work
together to help you find solutions to the challenges you face

Does this programme replace therapy or counseling?
No. An interactive programme cannot serve as a substitute for
diagnosis and treatment from a qualified mental health professional.
If you are experiencing depression, binge eating, anxiety, or any
other mental health problem, we urge you to seek out treatment
as soon as possible. MySelfHelp.com was developed by therapists
and other professionals to be used in conjunction with therapy.
While therapy is an effective form of treatment, the addition of
this highly interactive self-help programme - available 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week - can result in a more comprehensive treatment
programme that speeds recovery and well-being.
The cost of this programme seems low. Does this
reflect the quality of the programme?
No. As you will see, MySelfHelp.com is an extensive, comprehensive,
and highly effective programme. Our goal is to make it affordable
for everyone, so that the costs do not prohibit anyone from getting
the help and support they desire. We will continue to do everything
we can to keep costs low without compromising the quality that
makes this programme so unique and successful, and without accepting
advertising from pharmaceutical firms.
Would my doctor or therapist approve of my using
this programme?

educates them about our programme but also provides information
that they may find valuable in enhancing your treatment.

and view periodic results - information that can be submitted to
your doctor or therapist to further aid in your treatment and recovery.

I have seen other on-line programmes about depression,
binge eating, anxiety, or other problems that really turn out
to be companies trying to sell me their products, such as medications,
books, and so on. What makes this programme different?
At MySelfHelp.com, we are committed solely to helping you alleviate
symptoms. We are not using this programme as a front or advertising
vehicle to sell you a product. While other sites may provide some
valuable information, those companies often use information as
a promotional vehicle to sell you their product. Gaining your trust
is the key to making this programme successful for you - thus meeting
our goal of providing a comprehensive self-help programme.
MySelfHelp.com was created solely to provide you with interactive
self-help programmes, designed as an adjunct to therapy. Our goal
is to aid and speed your recovery and well-being. We do not, and
will not, attempt to sell you anything but our programmes.
What makes this programme different from other
websites on depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and related
problems?
MySelfHelp.com is different in many ways. It is highly
interactive, loaded with exercises and resources that
enable you to participate in your recovery and monitor your progress.
Second, it is comprehensive. Our ever-growing
family of programmes now covers depression, binge eating (or
compulsive eating), and bulimia, with new topics being added
all the time. Only $20 a month gives you unlimited access to
all MySelfHelp.com programmes. MySelfHelp.com establishes a sense
of community, where users like you submit and share ideas and
information on new coping skills, strategies to prevent relapse,
and other topics related to your recovery. The programme is dynamic - changing
daily with user-submitted feedback, programme enhancements, newsletters,
and value-added content. We are also continually adding self-help
modules to the programme to address other challenges that prevent
people from living life to the fullest. Finally, the system can
be customized to meet each individual's unique
needs. We help you choose the programmes, exercises, and strategies
that work best for you
What if I need to talk to a therapist? Is there
someone "live" I can talk to?
If you find that you need to speak to someone, we suggest you
contact your doctor or therapist. If you do not already have one, you
may call the NCFED on 0845 838 2040 or email ncfed@btclick.com. We will show you
how to select the right doctor or therapist, and provide ideas
on how to get started. If your need is urgent, we strongly
suggest you stop using the programme and get help immediately.
While we are staffed by highly experienced and professional therapists,
we simply cannot provide feedback or comments to you individually.
We cannot offer opinions on your symptoms, diagnosis, and/or treatments.
MySelfHelp.com programmes are intended to be educational in nature.
An interactive programme cannot serve as a substitute for diagnosis
and treatment from a qualified mental health professional.
*The only exceptions to confidentiality would occur
if a member were to include identifying information in an email
or other form of communication with us.
